Audio cassette on Bhupen Hazarika released

GUWAHATI, Nov 26 - An audio cassette titled �Sotobar Pronipat� was released recently at Kamala Devi Todi Smriti Bhawan, Nagaon commemorating the 89th birth anniversary of legendary musician Dr Bhupen Hazarika, stated a press release.

The cassette released by Natasurya Phani Sarma Awardee Gyanada Bora in presence of more than 200 artists, singers and other distinguished persons.

The cassette, contains a total number of 11 songs sung, recited, planned and edited by melodious singer Dr Narendra Nath Deka of Nagaon.

Earlier in 1983, his first audio cassette �Nostalgic� was released when he was at IVRI, Uttar Pradesh.

It may be mentioned that his third cassette �Durnibar� will be released on or before December, 31 2015 at a function in connection with 80th annivrsary of Assamese Film Industry (1935-2015).

The cassette will contain 15 songs where �Akou Jodi Jabo Lage Soraighatoloi� will be presented by Dr Deka in 6 different languages, namely Bodo, Rava, Tiwa, Karbi, Tai Ahom, Nepali and Nagamese in addition to Assamese.
