JORHAT, Oct 17 � Jorhat Town Club, �A� division league champion, reached the pre-quarter final of the ATPA Shild Football Tournament defeating Gargaon FC Nazira by a solitary goal scored in the 42nd minute by Lalhriat Chunga. At the Jorhat Stadium here today, Lalhriat lobbed ball into net taking advantage of charging goal keeper. The winners qualified to play against Dimapur United on October 19. The local outfit was strengthened by five Mizoram and Nagaland players but Nazira team, constituted with local players, drew applause from the crowd because of their spirited game for which the match was remained in uncertain situation till final whistle.
