Assams Dwarbondh Police Investigation Centre Turned Into Police Station

The police investigation centre at Dwarbondh under Dholai constituency has been transformed into a full-fledged police station. Minister of Excise and Forests Parimal Suklabaidya did the ceremonial opening of the police station on Republic Day in the presence of DIG (Southern Range) Dilip Kumar Dey, Cachar SP Bhanwar Lal Meena Cachar DC Keerthi Jalli and other dignitaries.
Speaking on the ocassion, Suklabaidya said that the opening of the police station is a fulfillment of a long term demand of the people of the vicinity.
"Government is making best efforts to empower police with better facilities and recently some police stations under the MOITRI scheme had been inaugurated by honourable Chief Minister. The police station will function to assist the locals who can also help the police in maintaining the cordial bond in the society,"
Cachar SP Bhanwar Lal Meena informed that the patrol post at Assam University will also come under the jurisdiction of the new police station along with 12 other villages panchayats.
