GUWAHATI, July 31 - Initiating developmental activities in Assam would be a priority, said Habib Chowdhury who has been made the chairman of the ASEAN India Business Council for Lao PDR.
Chowdhury hails from Hojai.
�I feel honoured and proud on receiving the chairmanship of ASEAN India Business Council for Lao PDR. I feel grateful to the ASEAN India Business Council (AIBC) for giving me this honour. Now, I can plan something related to investment and business in my home State Assam. If we can arrange an AIBC meeting in Assam, it will be of great help to the region,� Habib Chowdhury said.
He said that there had been a series of meetings in New Delhi and Kuala Lumpur in the last several days regarding business deals and investment between ASEAN and India.
