GUWAHATI, Aug 23 - Assam clinched the team title in the 7th North East Zone Shooting Championship held at the Sports Shooting Range in the 4th AP Bn Complex, Kahilipara here from August 19 to 23. The championship was organised by the Assam Rifle and Shooting Association.
State teams of Assam, Manipur, Services, Meghalaya, Mizoram and Nagaland took part in the meet.
Assam won 11 gold, 11 silver and nine bronze medals while Manipur occupied the second position winning 11 gold, six silver and six bronze medals. Services hit three gold, two silver and one bronze medal to stand third in the medals tally.
