Assam win second match

GUWAHATI, Sept 15 � Assam Ranji probables, which are in an exposure tour to Bangalore won their second match against Indian U-19 probables by 32 runs in the second 50-over friendly match at Bangalore today.

Electing to bat first Assam gathered 216 for eight in 50 overs and bundled out the opponent for 184 in 42.4 overs.

Assam captain Gokul Sharma today led the team from the front with a all round show. He scored 38 and took three wickets. However Amit Sinha was the top scorer with 67.

Assam will play two matches against the Karnataka State Ranji team which will be a two-day affair of 90 overs. The first match will be held on September 17 and 18, informed Assam team manager Md Khalique.
