Assam Tribune EduFair from today

GUWAHATI, May 22 � The two-day Assam Tribune EduFair 2011 will get under way at the Tarun Ram Phookun Indoor Stadium in the Nehru Stadium Complex in the city tomorrow. It will be followed by the concluding round in Dibrugarh on May 26 and 27.

Sponsored and supported by the Oil India Limited, the EduFair will witness the convergence of some of the best educational institutions from all over India in the city. Students will be able to interact with deans and principals of some of the biggest colleges and universities of the country and at the same time they can get career guidance from trained experts in the field. In addition, they can also avail of on-the-spot educational loan facilities and opportunities to earn educational scholarships.

A major highlight of the event is the psychometric tests being conducted in Guwahati (and also in Dibrugarh for the first time) for the benefit of the students in collaboration with Mind India under which students can assess their strengths and weaknesses through a test while selecting a career.

Over 100 reputed colleges and universities from across the country are taking part in the fair. These include Sharda University, Delhi (which is also the associate sponsor), SRM University, Chennai, Lovely Professional University, Punjab, Amity University, Delhi, BFIT Dehradun, EIILM Kolkata, Dewan Institute, Meerut, Epitome Group, Assam Down Town University, ERD Foundation, etc.
