Assam Tribune Edu Fair gets under way

GUWAHATI, May 10 - Facilitating the widest range of career assessment opportunities at the doorsteps, the latest edition of The Assam Tribune Edu Fair would once again reach out to the students of Northeast, this time expanding in two new venues of Jorhat and Makum.

The first leg of the career counselling event got underway today at the TRP Indoor Stadium, Guwahati, where more than 40 reputed educational institutions from across the country are taking part.

Apart from bringing students and best of educational institutions under one roof, the event also helps the aspirants and the guardians have a detailed discussions about the facilities and fee structures of colleges along with expert guidance. It also facilitates an easy comparison to help in making informed decisions, best suited as per individual needs.

This time institutions like Tata Institute of Social Sciences - School of Vocational Education (TISS-SVE), Lovely Professional University (LPU), Amity University, NSHM Knowledge Campus, The Neotia University, Mody University, College of Engineering, Roorkee and Sharada University, among others, are taking part.

Started in 2009, the Edu Fair organises a series of events every year at different locations. This time, the two-day events would be held at Shillong All Saints Hall on May 13-14, at Dibrugarh DHSK College on May 16-17 and at Jorhat Tarajan Sanmilani Hall on May 20-21. Zila Sahitya Sabha Hall, Makum, would host a one-day event on May 18.

Students of Guwahati have the opportunity to take part in Edu Fair on its concluding day tomorrow. Apart from free entry and career counselling, the students would also get the opportunity to avail the benefits of free counselling and psychometric test by the Mind India.

The last series Edu Fair was participated by more than 3,000 students.

The event is supported by Oil India Limited as title sponsors and Royal Group of Institutions as the associate sponsors.
