Assam stare at innings defeat

SILCHAR, Dec 2 - After another batting failure let the team down, Assam is staring at an innings defeat at 60 for four in the second innings on day three of the ongoing Col CK Nayudu Trophy match against Madhya Pradesh. The home team is following on with another 124 needed on the fourth and final day.

Assam resumed the day with skipper Abhishek Thakuri and Shubham Mandal. Thakuri made 53 runs while Assam were bundled out for 217 in 89 overs. Left handed lower order batsman Rajat Khan offered resistance with a grinding knock of 52 runs.
