Tihu, March 11: The Assam men's team has entered in the final of senior national volleyball championship being held at Kalinga University in Bhubaneswar defeating Kerela by 13--25, 20--25, 25--22, 25--16, 15--11 sets.
Team Assam has begun a new history in sports by entering to the semi final and final. Before that, Assam defeated Services team by 27--29, 25--21, 21--25, 25--23, 15--13 in quarter final match in 2 hours 15 minutes fight.
President of Assam Volleyball Association (AVA) and Vice President of Indian volleyball association Susanta Biswa Sarma, Dr Chaitanya Prasad Saikia, Secretary, AVA, Dipak Kr Das, Asstt Secretary, AVA, and Abhijit Bhattacharjya, ex-captain of Indian volleyball team congratulated team Assam, its manager and coach for their outstanding performance in the competion.
