GUWAHATI, Sept 22 - A 21-member Assam team has been selected to play against Karnataka and Rajasthan in the Ranji Trophy tournament to be played from October 1 to 4 and October 8 to 11, respectively at the Barsapara Stadium here, the Assam Cricket Association said in a statemenet.
The team: Gokul Sharma (capt), Tarjinder Singh, Abu Nechim Ahmed, Syed Mohammed (WK, vice-capt), Amit Verma, Sib Sankar Roy, Pallav Das, Arup Das, Pritam Das, Rishab Das, Kunal Kr Saikia (WK) and Bikash Chetri. Ranking TT at Sivasagar
GUWAHATI, Sept 22: The All Assam Ranking Table Tennis Championship, organised by the Sivasagar District Sports Association under the aegis of the Assam Table Tennis Association will be held at Sivasagar from September 30 to October 3.
More than 350 paddlers from all the affiliated districts will participate in the four-day meet which will be the seventh All Assam Major Ranking championship for the current year. Rajdeep Bhuyan has been nominated as the observer, while Gobinda Upadhaya and Chandan Goswami will be the chief and deputy chief referee of the championship, respectively. Altogether 10 individual events will be held from cadet level to senior level in both men and women category.
