Assam lose to Delhi by 35 runs

GUWAHATI, March 14 � Assam went down to Delhi by 35 runs in the T20 quarterfinal of the Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy in Indore today. Batting first, the Delhi team rode on a fine 79 by A Julka to amass a total of 170 for 5 in their 20 overs. Assam bowler DS Goswami was the most successful with figures of 4/27 in 4 overs.

In reply, Assam were all out for 135 in 17.4 overs. Apart from Parvez Aziz (57) and AS Sinha (28), no other Assam batsman could put up a fight. For Delhi, Farman Ahmed tore through the Assam batting line-up with figures of 4/25 in 4 overs.
