Assam in comfort zone vs Mumbai

GUWAHATI, Nov 26 � Assam is in a comfortable position against Mumbai in the Ranji Trophy Super League match.

On the third day of the four-day encounter at Mumbai today, Assam piled a commendable total of 298 and sent three opponent batsmen to the pavilion at team�s total of 91.

For Assam, opener Dhiraj Jadhav (79), Tarjinder Singh (74) and Abu Neschim Ahmed (39) were the notable contributors. Jadhav and Tarjinder added 128 runs for the fourth wicket partnership which laid a solid foundation to the Assam innings.

Offie Ramesh Power took three wickets while Kulkarni, Nayar and Abdulla shared two each.

Dhiraj Goswami removed two Mumbai scalps as Ranjit Mali took one. At close, Kukreja and Nayar are batting with 38 and 18 respectively.
