KALAIGAON, Feb 8 � �People of Assam had witnessed enough agitations since the Assam movement. It�s time the SAKP took a different action plan to press for implementation of its long pending demands,� said Nagen Das, secretary, Sadou Asom Karmachari Parishad (SAKP) at Kalaigaon recently. He was addressing the concluding day�s open session of the 12th annual conference of the Udalguri district SAKP and the first biannual session of the SAKP Kalaigaon regional committee. The SAKP leader requested all, including the media people, to highlight the good works of a few honest officials and employees as examples.

The two-day session was held on the Kalaigaon HS School premises. It began with Pratap Bhatta hoisting the SAKP flag on the first day which was followed by the delegates session. The session was inaugurated by Dandi Kumar Boro. Dilip Kumar Bora, president, Udalguri district SAKP, presided over the open session held on the concluding day. Nabin Chandra Boro, Inspector of Schools, Udalguri released the souvenir published on the occasion. The souvenir has been edited by Rama Kanta Nath and Dibakar Baishya.

The open session was also addressed by Kandarpa Deka, vice president and Fakruddin Ahmed, assistant secretary of SAKP. Dandi Kumar Boro anchored the proceedings of the open session, while Pratap Bhatta offered the vote of thanks.
