GUWAHATI, Feb 9 � Assam finished the preliminary phase of the Ranji Trophy Group C with 38 points as in the last match against Kerala they picked up three points.
The four-day match at the Conor Vayal Stadium, Tellicherry, Kannur today ended in a draw.
At the end of the final day Assam were 188 for the loss of six wickets resuming at the overnight total of 26 for no loss.
Opener Pallav Das was the top scorer for Assam in the second innings with 72 which came off 227 balls. Pallav hit seven boundaries and a six in his 309-minute knock.
KB Arun Karthik was the other leading run getter with 62. His 150-ball innings was studded with four boundaries and two sixers.
