GUWAHATI, Jan 16 � Assam beat Bengal in a women East Zone T20 Championship.
In a close match at Cuttack today, Assam gahtered 95 for nine after batting first and restricted the oponent to 90.
Assam players today were in peak form in fielding and made five run-outs. For Assam, capitain Devieka Sathe scored 37 while Ritu Dhrub contributed 32. Monika Das, Jyoti Sarma, Nita Khungbang and Ranji Lodhi took one wicket each.
