MANGALDAI, Dec 5 - Assam were skittled out for 122 in their first innings in the alite Group C U-19 Cooch Behar Trophy match against Maharashtra.
On the opening day of the four-day match at the Mangaldai Stadium here today, the Assam top order miserably failed to handle the hot stuffs of the Maharashtra pacers.
]Baring Biplab Saikia (11) others even failed to reach double figure. However, tailenders Bikash Singh (41) Mrinmoy Dutta (29) and Jitumoni Kalita (16) helped the host team in crossing 100. JD Bharade (4/18) and IA Sayed (3/30) were the leading wicket takers for Maharashtra.
At close the visiting team was 6 for no loss.
