GUWAHATI, May 24 � Assam boys team entered the semifinal stage of the on going 8th National Sub Junior (U-14) Rollball Championship. In the quarterfinal, played at the Laxmibai National Institute of Physical Education complex, Tepesia, Sonapur near here today, Assam boys defeated Delhi 7-5. In other quarterfinals, Maharashtra downed Rajasthan 10-5 while Uttar Pradesh beat Chattishgarh 16-2.
After the gruelling league phase Maharashtra, Rajasthan, Uttar Pradesh, Chattishgarh, Assam, Delhi, Uttarakhand and Jharkhand have qualified for the last-eight stage.
In the girls� category, Uttar Pradesh will play against Tamil Nadu while Chattishgarh to lock horns with Maharashtra in the last-four stage. All the semifinals and the finals are slated for tomorrow.
