GUWAHATI, Aug 27: Assam will participate in the four-day 59th National Inter State Athletic Championship which got underway in Lucknow today.
State athletic body president Lakhya Konwar also left for Lucknow to encourage the team.
Selected athletes are: Hima Das (200m, 100m), Abhilash Borthakur (100m), Runjun Pegu (javelin), Tunlai Narzary (shot put), Laimon Narzary (high jump), Rimi Borgohain (100m, long jump), Dipankar Dey (100, 200m), Donkrishna Deka (decathlon). Manager: Karunjyoti Saikia, Coach: Kalyan Barman.
