SONARI, Feb 12 � The Assam-Arunachal Pradesh Utsav will be organised on February 21 at Kanubari, a border area of both the States, under the auspices of the administrations of Sivasagar district, Charaideo subdivision and Longding subdivision of Arunachal Pradesh.

To review the preparations, a meeting was held at the conference hall of the SDO (Civil), Charaideo, recently with NN Nath, SDO(C) in the chair.

He gave a briefing on the celebrations aimed at strengthening unity among the people of both the neighbouring States.

An agricultural festival, an exhibition by self-help groups, sports competitions, cultural programmes and a food festival featuring the delicacies of both the States are planned for the event.

Representatives of small tea growers, tea estates, Charaideo Press Guild, Sonari Press Club, Sapekhati Press Club, sports associations and subdivisional heads of various government departments were present in the meeting.
