SILCHAR, Sept 8 - As a part of the drive towards popularising sports journalism as a medium of skill development for the human resources in Assam, the Assam Sports Journalists Association (ASJA) in association with the State Level Advisory Committee (Students and Youth Welfare) Government of Assam and locally associated with the Barak Uppotyoka Krira Sangbadik Sanstha (BUKSS) organised a seminar at Banga Bhawan on Friday.
Senior sports journalists Sushim Ghosh and Partha Chakraborty were the resource persons from the ASJA at the seminar presided over by BUKSS president Riten Bhattacharjee. While Partha Chakraborty spoke on the key aspects of photo journalism, Sushim Ghosh delivered his address to the participants on the core areas of sports journalism. Noted journalist and veteran commentator from Barak Valley Hitabrata Bhattacharjee spoke on the essentials of electronic journalism. Sayan Biswas, a young scribe from Barak Valley who has already carved a niche with his flamboyant reporting style also shared his experience.
