GUWAHATI, Aug 22 � Former champions ASEB Sports Club were held to a 1-1 draw by Sunrise Athletic Club in today�s match of the GSA Abhishek Motors RG Baruah Super League Football Tournament.
In a close match at the Nehru Stadium here, after a barren first session, Arup Biswas took ASEB ahead in the 53rd minute off a flag kick. But their jubilation was short lived as Joseph Camara drew parity in the 60th minute.
Arup�s flag kick entered into the goal after touching a Sunrise defender. Nigerian striker Camara got the ball after it rebounded off the right post of ASEB goal. The shot was taken by Ugochukwn. Finally Camara shot home from top of the box for the equaliser. At the dying moments of the game, Saurabh Chutia squandered an easy scoring opportunity as he failed to beat the opponent custodian in a one-on-one situation.
