GUWAHATI, Sept 16 Super Division League Champions ASEB Sports Club pulled off a 4-2 victory against A Division outfit City Police in the inaugural match of the 63rd Bharat Ratna Lokopriya Gopinath Bordoloi Trophy Football Tournament in penalty shoot-out.

In a lacklustre encounter at the Nehru Stadium here today, no team could show their form in which they were during the recently concluded GSA leagues. The match ended in a 1-1 draw in regulation time.

Syed Ansar put ASEB ahead in the 7th minute. Police custodian Uchan Saikia fumbled to gather the ball off a shot from Jerry Vanlalmuana and Syed pushed home from inside the box. After the break, Satyaghna Konwar drew parity in the 71st minute with a header. Amulya Das set the ball for Satrughna off a set piece.
