GUWAHATI, July 1 � The weekly Asam Bani, published by the Tribune group, completed 60 years on Tuesday. The paper, launched by the architect of modern Assam RG Baruah with an aim to promote unity and build a greater Assam, will also be available as e-paper at www.asambani.com from July 4.
The legacy of responsible journalism that was set by founder editor of the weekly, Late Satis Chandra Kakati, has been passed on by all editors over the decades. In the days to come, the old issues of the weekly will also be available in archive.
