ITANAGAR, Sept 14 - The number of COVID-19 cases in Arunachal Pradesh has breached the 6,000-mark as 146 more people tested positive for the virus on Sunday.
Besides, as many as 123 COVID-19 patients were also sent home following their recovery from the disease, pushing the number of recoveries to 4,379.
With the detection of 146 new positive cases, the State�s caseload has gone up to 6,121, according to a bulletin issued by the State Directorate of Health Services here late last evening.
However, there are 1,732 active cases now in the State, which has already registered 10 fatalities.
Of the new cases, Itanagar Capital Complex detected the maximum of 71 cases, including 27 from a paid quarantine testing centre at Itanagar, 19 are staffers of Lekhi village-based car showroom �Neni Hyundai�, 13 from TRIHMS, Naharlagun, and 11 from Banderdewa check gate.
Lower Dibang Valley followed with 16 infections. Seven cases each were reported from Changlang and Longding, while six cases each were found in East Siang, Lower Siang and Lower Subansiri.
Five cases each came from Papum Pare and Lohit, as Tawang detected four. Dibang Valley and Upper Siang contracted three each, whereas two cases each were registered in West Kameng and West Siang. Pakke-Kessang, East Kameng and Anjaw came up with one case each.
Among the fresh cases, 138 were found to be asymptomatic and eight symptomatic, as per the bulletin. Of the total 123 patients discharged today, Itanagar Capital Complex saw off 55 recovered patients. Papum Pare came second with 12 cured cases, followed by Longding with 10 and Leparada eight. Five each were discharged in East Siang, Tirap and West Siang. Changlang and Anjaw recorded four cured cases each, and three in Shi-Yomi. Lower Dibang Valley, Lower Subansiri, Tawang and West Kameng made two releases each. One recovery each came from East Kameng, Lower Siang, Namsai and Upper Siang.
