GUWAHATI, March 12 � Arunachal Pradesh Department of Tourism is organising the first Arunachal Spring Carnival from March 17 to 19 on the banks of majestic Siang river at Pasighat.
An Inner Line Permit (ILP) cell is now operational in the Assam Paryatan Bhawan at Rehabari here which would facilitate smooth processing of ILPs, which is required for entering the State. Free entry passes for the event would also be available at Assam Paryatan Bhawan.
Addressing the media here today, Resident Tourism Officer Leena Perme said that the festival would be a great opportunity for the nature and adventure lovers who can come and enjoy various events in the scenic landscape of Pasighat.
White water rafting expedition, angling competition, traditional cultural show, fashion shows, paragliding and ethnic food stalls are a part of the festival. Popular groups like Tetseo Sisters, Guru Rewben Mashangba, Omak Komut Collectives, Imphal Talkies, Digital Suicides, among others would enthral the music lovers during the fest. The tourists can also opt for putting up tents or go for home stays in the villages of different tribes in and around Pasighat area, she added.
