Arunachal signs pact to boost air connectivity

ITANAGAR,�Sept 20 -�The Department of Civil Aviation, Government of Arunachal Pradesh signed a tripartite Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Ministry of Civil Aviation (MoCA), Goverment of India and Airports Authority of India (AAI) for implementation of the Regional Connectivity Scheme (RCS).

�Arunachal Pradesh has now been included under UDAN scheme or the Regional Connectivity Scheme of the Ministry of Civil Aviation,� according to an official release here today.

The MoU was signed by Secretary Civil Aviation Vinod P Kavle on behalf of Government of Arunachal Pradesh.

This would not only pave the way for providing affordable air connectivity within Arunachal Pradesh and to the rest of the country but also boost tourism and facilitate import and export of goods, the release said.
