By Correspondent

ITANAGAR, Oct 29 - Arunachal Pradesh Governor V Shanmuganathan and Chief Minister Pema Khandu today extended their greetings to the people of the State on the occasion of Diwali, hoping that the festivity would motivate all to fight against all odds and evils and drive all to move forward on the path to progress and success.

In his message, the Governor said that the festival of lights inspires all to move towards light from darkness. Let us light the lamps of compassion, love and righteousness. Let us resolve to fight against illiteracy, inequality, poverty, discrimination and malice, and promote universal peace and brotherhood in the society, he exhorted. The Governor also appealed to all for a pollution-free and eco-friendly Deepawali celebration.

In his message, CM Khandu said, Deepawali is certainly one of the biggest and the brightest of all festivals. Urging cautions in lighting lamps and fire crackers to prevent any kind of mishap, Khandu said: While we enjoy the festival we must also keep in mind safety of our children and others sentiments. Lets celebrate Deepavali with responsibility.
