Arunachal Guv, CM discuss devp issues

ITANAGAR, Nov 4 - Arunachal Pradesh Chief Minister Pema Khandu on Monday called on Governor Brig (Dr) BD Mishra (retd) at Raj Bhavan here, and discussed development issues of the state and future course of action to expedite important projects.

The Governor emphasised on proper monitoring of developmental projects, particularly road projects, to ensure that the works are implemented within the time frame.

The matter of airlifting of civil supplies by the Indian Air Force and settlement of pending payment of over Rs 288 crore also came up for review in the meeting. It was decided that the State Chief Secretary and the Commissioner Finance must meet the Union Home Secretary for resolving the issue at the earliest.

Issues pertaining to the Arunachal Pradesh Public Service Commission (APPSC) were also deliberated upon. Preparation for the next batch of students for Sainik School, Niglok, East Siang district, was reviewed and it was felt that the preparation for arrival of the next batch of students must be completed at the earliest.

The Governor also commended the Chief Minister for the successful conduct of the Tawang Festival 2019.
