Arunachal BJP expects tide to turn in its favour

By Newmai News

ITANAGAR, May 24 - Buoyed by the partys stupendous success in the Assam Assembly polls, the BJP in Arunachal Pradesh has exuded confidence that the prevailing political scenario in the hilly State would turn in its favour and that there would be a full-fledged BJP government in the State soon.

After Assam, lotus (the election symbol of BJP) will soon bloom in Arunachal Pradesh and we will have a full-fledged BJP government in the State before the next election, BJPs Northeast zonal organisation secretary Ajay Jamwal said while talking to media-persons on the sidelines of inauguration of the partys new head office at Vivek Vihar, Itanagar on Monday.

Currently, the BJP, with its 11 MLAs in the 60-member House, is extending outside support to the Kalikho Pul-led PPA government, which was installed on February 19 last after months of political turmoil.

Earlier, inaugurating the new BJP office, Jamwal urged the party workers to maintain their spirit of teamwork to accomplish the mission for a full-fledged BJP government in the State.

Seeking to raise morale of party workers, he said that Prime Minister Narendra Modi-led BJP government at the Centre will remain in power for at least the next 15 to 20 years and added, under the able leadership of State BJP president Tapir Gao, Arunachal will become the number one State in Northeast in terms of development.
