Artistes from Assam rescued in Bihar

GUWAHATI, Aug 6 - The Bihar Police today rescued a group of young artistes from Assam, comprising nine girls and three boys, from Chhapra area of the State. The rescue operation was carried out based on an input made by the Guwahati police.

Higher officials of Guwahati police stated that the parent of one girl member of the artists� group filed a complaint with the Paltanbazar police. The complainant stated that some people confined the group in Chhapra area.

After the complaint, the Guwahati police communicated with the Bihar police and finally, the group has been rescued today.

Already the Guwahati police have sent one of its team to Bihar to receive the group from the Bihar Police.
