Army organise football tourney at Nalbari

NALBARI, Nov 6 - An unit of the Red Horns Division organised a football spree of three continuous days in coordination with local football clubs at Nalbari from November 1 to 3.

The army team played friendly matches against Chamata Anchalik Krira Sangha, Atlanta Sports Club and Chamata Football Club respectively.

The organisers lost first two matches in penalty shoot-out and won the last match.

At the end of the three day-league, outstanding players were recognised and the clubs were promised of assistance in the future. The young boys finally pledged to work hard and assured their commitment towards nation building in the field of sports and games.

The programme was organised for creating conducive atmosphere in the locality and to foster the spirit of sports and bonhomie.
