JALUKBARI, March 31 - The arms licences of five private arms licence holders have been suspended by the Kamrup district administration for non-deposit of the weapons. The administration has directed the Kamrup SP to seize the arms immediately and keep them in safe custody.
The district administration, in view of the ensuing Assembly poll, had issued the order to private arms licence holders to deposit their arms at their respective police stations. However, Sarat Ch Das, Niyamoni Moral, Achyut Ch Das, Golak Ch Deori and Umesh Ch Kalita under the Sualkuchi PS have failed to comply with the order.
