Arkaprabha, Unmilita champions

GUWAHATI, Nov 15 - Arkaprabha Rajkonwar in Under-13 category and Unimilita Pathak in Under-9 category became champions in the PC Borooah Selection Chess Tournament organised by the PC Borooah Chess Academy at its own complex here. The tournament came to an end today.

Altogether 36 players from different schools of the city participated in the tournament. The tournament was held in Swiss League system for 7 rounds. Top four players from each group will represent the PC Borooah Chess Academy in the forthcoming All Assam Chess Championship. Pranab Kumar Nath conducted the tournament as chief arbiter and he was ably assisted by Khanindra Barman, Kh Jinu Singha and Chiraranjan Bhuyan as Deputy Arbiter.

Final Ranking: (U-13) Champion Arkaprabha Rajkonwar 6.5 points. Second Position Medha Baruah 5.5 points. Third Rajdeep Mudiar 5.5 points. Fourth Arnal Saikia 5 points. Fifth Avilash Dutta 5 points.

(U-9) Champion Unmilita Pathak 6.5 points. Second Shaurya Jalan 6.5 points. Third Baibhabi Baruah 5 points. Fourth Ananya Deka 4 points. Fifth Amritangshu Goswami 4 points.
