IMPHAL, Jan 22 - The 4th edition of the Manipur Statehood Day Women�s Polo Tournament came to an end with the Argentina women�s polo team emerging as the champions in Imphal on Monday.
In an exciting final match at the Mapal Kangjeibug, Argentina played a 6-6 draw with their USA counterparts at the end of the regular four chukker.
However, the Argentina team won the match in a penalty shoot-out where they scored three goals while USA managed to score only one. The All Manipur Polo Association (AMPA) organised the tournament under the sponsorship of the Department of Tourism to promote women�s polo in Indian particularly in the Northeastern region.
