GUWAHATI, Oct 3 - World Architecture Day will be celebrated in the State by the Assam Chapter of the Indian Institute Architects on October 5. On the occasion students of architecture of the two Guwahati-based architecture institutes, the Guwahati College of Architecture and Royal School of Architecture will make presentations, said a press release.
The theme of this year�s celebration is, �Architecture Building and Climate Change�. Besides the architecture presentation, a discourse will be organised by architect Partha Ranjan Das, winner of JK Architect of the Year Award, 2014 on the theme subject.
Every year the first Monday of October is celebrated by the International Union of Architects (UIA), representing 1.3 million architects internationally, as World Architecture Day by organising discussions on a theme subject to create awareness on the contributions of the profession towards society.
