GUWAHATI, June 4 - In line with the Friends of Assam and Seven Sisters (FASS) Welcome Package announced in 2015, FASS has announced to offer Rs 50,000 as a welcome package in 2017 to a selected student from the North East studying in the USA.
�The student must be of North East Indian origin from any of the eight states and he or she must be a full-time student in any US university in any subject. The parents should not be working outside India. This welcome package is to help the student with his establishment and miscellaneous expenses during his studies,� a statement from FASS said.
Deserving students of the North East can apply for the FASS Welcome Package by sending an emailed application with his/ her bio data and details of study to FASS USA (email: [email protected]) before July 31, 2017, the statement added.
FASS is an international non-profit organisation headquartered in Houston, Texas, for the promotion and welfare of India�s North East.
