GUWAHATI, Aug 10 - The women of Adarshapur-4 locality in Kahilipara area of the city have made an appeal to Prime Minister Narendra Modi to use his good office in ensuring installation of a deep bore well in their locality for supply of drinking water.

In a letter to the Prime Minister, they said that they have been raising this demand for the past 13 years, but to no avail.

The women of Adarshpur-4 have also demanded upgradation of the Bhagadattapur Police Outpost into a model police station with an effective police party to control all types of untoward incidents in the localities covered by it, which have a population of around one lakh.

The other demands of these women include improvement of roads and public transport system, a plot of land for a community hall, employment of the over-aged job seekers who have been denied any appointment by the State Government, a polling station at a closer location and visit by a Union Minister to their localities.
