Anurag, Debangana bag double crowns

DULIAJAN, Jan 21 � Anurag Buragohain of Guwahati and Debangana Borkakaoty of Jorhat bagged double crowns in the Oil India All Assam Junior Tennis Championship by clinching the boy�s U�12 and U�14 years and girl�s U�14 and U�18 years respectively at the Zaloni Club tennis courts here today.

Anurag defeated Udit Gogoi of Duliajan in boy�s U�12 years 6-0, 6-0 and in U�14 years he beat Prahlad Borthakur of Duliajan 6-2, 6-2 in the final. Debangana won the girl�s U� 14 title defeating Evaraj Shah of Guwahati 6-0, 6-3 and in the U�18 category, she beat Shrestha Barua of Jorhat 6-1, 6-1 in the final.

In boys� U�18, Arnabjan Lahkar from Duliajan won the title defeating Arindam Dutta from Golaghat 6-0, 6-3.

In the closing ceremony, the prizes to the winners and runner-ups were distributed by Nirod Ranjan Deka, General Manger (Administration & Public Relations), OIL and Indra Phukan, chairman, organising committee.
