GUWAHATI, Jan 29 - An anthology of essays on a variety of subjects penned by retired high school teacher Makan Devi was released at Ambikagiri Nagar here yesterday by well-known children�s writer and editor of weekly Pragjyotish, Sashiprabha Das.
The meeting, held on the occasion, was presided over by senior journalist and author Joykanta Sarma. Retired teacher and writer Ramesh Chandra Deva Sarma, writer Khagendra Nath Das and journalist Prabodh Ch Bhattacharyya were the guests of honour.
All the speakers and invited guests at the programme praised Makan Devi�s sincere endeavour to write on different subjects, according to a press release issued here today.
