ANSAM conference concludes

IMPHAL, April 3 � The four-day XIth general conference of the All Naga Students� Association, Manipur (ANSAM) concluded in Ukhrul town on Wednesday, sources said.

Nagaland-based Naga Students Federation (NSF) president Tongpang Ozukum in his valedictory speech said unless the younger generation initiates some corrective measures, the situation in the Naga society is going to get worse. He added that the growing hatred among the Nagas is dividing the people.

�Nagas are considered as brave people but we must remember that we cannot survive alone in this world without peaceful coexistence with other communities and neighbours�, he observed.

A discourse on the conference theme �Shared Future: Our Collective Responsibility� was organised at Tangkhul Naga Long Ground, Ukhrul on Wednesday where panelists shared views and opinions on diverse fields.

Dr Tuisem Shimrah, Assistant Professor, GGSIP University, New Delhi, delivered a lecture on �Our Land, Resources & Development� while IGNOU Arunachal Pradesh Regional Director Dr Joshep Khuba spoke on the topic �Our Inherent Rights & Political Aspiration�.
