KOHIMA, Nov 25 - A poster campaign began as the ongoing agitation of All Nagaland College Students Union (ANCSU) against non-release of Post Matric Scholarship for 3,615 eligible students entered its second phase on Monday.
Lamenting that the Central Government had released its share of 90 per cent in February, ANCSU maintained the scholarship amount has not been disbursed to the students due to delay in release of State Governments share of 10 per cent.
Scholarship is for students and not for civil deposit and also not for politicians and bureaucrats, read a poster pasted outside ANCSU office here.
ANCSU general secretary Benjongakum Longchar said only after several representations, ultimatum and commencement of the first phase of agitation, the government on Friday assured to release the scholarship by second week of December. PTI
