Amlanjyoti clinches double crown

GUWAHATI, May 14 � Amlanjyoti Baruah of Assam clinched double crown in the All India Ranking Tennis Championship which concluded at the All Assam Tennis Association�s (AATA) Chachal complex here today.

Amlanjyoti won the boy�s U-14 singles and doubles titles in the meet. In the singles final, he defeated his State mate Manas Gogoi 6-1, 6-3 and pairing with Archis Borthakur beat Manash Gogoi and Partha Konwar 6-3, 6-2.

In the other final played today, Zhaputso Khate of Nagaland beat Abhilash Gogoi of Assam 6-1, 6-0 for the boy�s U-12 title.

The championship was organised by the AATA. Earlier, Pratiksha Sharma won girl�s U-14 singles title yesterday.
