MANGALDAI, Sept 22 - The 37th edition of the Amba Medhi Invitation Football tournament kicked off today here at the Mangaldai Stadium. In the inaugural match, Orgeng Club of Dimakuchi, Udalguri got the better of Santipur Sangha 2-0. Tridip Swargiary scored in the 12th minute while Munna Boro increased the margin in the 31st minute. Earlier, Ashok Kr Barman, DC, Darrang inaugurated the tournament.
Meanwhile, the indifferent attitude of the tournament organising committee � Mangaldai Sports Association towards media persons has been criticised by the media here.
