GUWAHATI, Nov 4 - The 72nd foundation day of Assam Medical College was observed by the Assam Medical College Alumni Association and the Academic Forum, Guwahati chapter, at Landmark Hotel here on November 3.
The occasion was graced by many prominent former students, from the first batch of 1947 to those who passed out recently.
The programme included a scientific session followed by Dr SN Sharma memorial talk delivered by gynaecologist Dr Alaka Goswami.
Another highlight of the evening was the release of the book The Journey written by Dr Dulal Borkotoky.
This year, the AMC alumni body will work specially for cancer care, according to Dr Sangit Dutta, president of the Association.
The evening concluded with a cultural programme in which a large number of alumni participated.
