BARPETA, April 2 - Amid frequent incidents of ill treatment and other irregularities, a brilliant student of Madhab Choudhury College in Barpeta lost her life in Guwahati Medical College Hospital on Sunday morning allegedly due to wrong treatment meted out to her by the doctors in Fakharuddin Ali Ahmed Medical College here a few days ago.

Sonali Sarkar, a resident of Gandhinagar in Barpeta town and a student of second semester of the local Madhab Choudhury College, was admitted to Fakharuddin Ali Ahmed Medical College Hospital here on March 28. She was scheduled for a surgery that day due to some complicacy in her gallbladder. The doctors administered her anaesthesia and prepared her for the surgery.
