All Assam Major Ranking TT at Dibrugarh

GUWAHATI, Aug 6 - The Dibrugarh District Sports Association, under the guidance of Assam Table Tennis Association (ATTA) will organise the All Assam Major Ranking Table Tennis Championships from August 9 to 12 at the Dibrugarh Indoor Stadium.

It will be the eighth ranking championship of this season.

Around 350 players from all the affiliated units � Guwahati, Nagaon, Tezpur, Golaghat, Jorhat, Sivasagar, Nazira, Namrup, Dibrugarh, North Lakhimpur, Silchar, Duliajan and institutions including Oil India Limited, NF Railway are expected to take part in the meet.

Altogether 10 individual events will be held from cadet to senior level for both men and women.

Gobinda Upadhaya of Guwahati has been appointed as the chief Referee and he will assisted by Chandan Goswami of Nagaon, Biman Bhagawati of Sivasagar and Subhajit Singha of Golaghat. Nayan Jyoti Sarma, treasurer, ATTA, of Jorhat will be the official observer for the championships, stated a release issued by ATTA secretary Tridib Duvarah.
