GUWAHATI, Feb 18 � With the much-awaited Cricket World Cup beginning tomorrow, sleuths of various law-enforcing agencies, including the Bureau of Investigation (Economic Offences) are keeping constant track on betting rackets operating in the State, especially in the capital city.
Betting during international cricket matches has spread to the North East region too, with the BIEO even arresting a couple of persons from the heart of the city for indulging in betting during the recently held India-New Zealand match at the Nehru Stadium.
