BONGAIGAON, Sept 1 Welcoming the raids by the CBI at the residences and institutions of high profile persons in Guwahati in connection with the multi-crore Saradha scam, the AKRSU president has demanded that the assets belonging to AASU president Sankar Prasad Ray be brought under the purview of the CBI probe.

AKRSU president Biswajit today spitting fire on the AASU told the media on Saturday that the present AASU leaders have spoiled the past reputation of the student organisation by using it as golden egg laying duck for self-interest which has insulted the Assamese community and the martyrs.

Can the AASU president Sankar Prasad Ray and its adviser Dr Samujjal Bhattacharya, who had allowed the Saradha chit fund to exploit the poor masses of the State by collecting big amount from it as donation, raise their voice against any corruption? Biswajit Ray questioned.

Ray demanded that grill Sankar Prasad Ray be grilled on his income sources by which he had bought a house in Guwahati, a flat in Sangram Niloy at Bongaigaon and many plots of land in several places. Besides Ray also asked the CBI to look into the assets, trades and bank accounts of Sankar Prasad Rays younger brother to unveil the black money earned by the AASU president.
