AJYCP to protest Adityanaths Nagaon visit

By A Correspondent

NAGAON, Jan 22 - The Nagaon district unit of Asom Jatiyatabadi Yuva Chatra Parishad will build up massive resistance against the Chief Minister of Uttar Pradesh Yogi Adityanath during his proposed trip to attend the closing ceremony of the centenary celebration of Asom Pradeshik Yogi Sanmilan which will be held at Nehrubali here on February 12, 15 and 16 next.

The president and general secretary of the organisation, namely Deep Moni Bora and Pragjyotish Bonia respectively, while addressing a press conference here on Tuesday at its district office, said if Yogi Adityanath attends the centenary celebrations or visits the district, he will definitely face strong democratic protest and the organisation will leave no stone unturned for building resistance against him.

The organisation confirmed that during his trip to the district, the organisation will declare complete shutdown of the entire district.

Referring to the incessant agitation against the Citizenship (Amendment) Act, 2019 being initiated by the organisation, he said the district body of AJYCP will carry out a massive resistance not only against Yogi Adityanath, but will do the same even against all the State and Central Ministers.

Slamming Yogi Adityanath as a communal leader, the district body of the organisation sternly criticised him and alleged that during the current agitation against CAA in his own State, a total of 21 anti-CAA protesters were killed by police, while his government was yet to bring it under any judicial scrutiny.

The AJYCP urged the organising committee of the closing ceremony of the centenary celebration of Asom Pradeshik Yogi Sanmilan to cancel Adityanaths invitation to the function else it might lead to communal clashes in the district.
